Save to Obsidian
Share any content to the Obsidian app
What this shortcut does
This shortcut takes input from the share sheet and imports it into the Obsidian app, with more advanced functionality than Obsidian's built-in share sheet extension. Features Saves entire web pages, not just URLs Optionally appends input to existing note (especially useful for images!) Embeds YouTube videos Handles rich text To download: Tap the “Get Shortcut” button to the left. The Shortcuts app will open and offer to import the shortcut (if nothing happens after Shortcuts opens, come back and tap “Get Shortcut” again). To use: In the Share menu or “Share…” item in the edit menu, select “Save to Obsidian,” and the content should then magically appear in Obsidian. In principle, it will accept any input. In practice, some formats will work better than others. If you run into formats it handles poorly, or any other problems, please leave feedback below or on Twitter. If this shortcut has been helpful to you, please leave a review below, and feel free to buy me a coffee!
