# Save Camera Photos To Album | Shortcuts Library

## What this shortcut does

INTRODUCTION (no need to read, you can quickly jump to the “How to use” part below):
In the past, when I was new to iPhone, I seek for a shortcut that adds all camera photos into an album because I used to be an Android user (in Android, all camera photos/videos are put in their own folder which separates them from other irrelevant pictures/videos so that it will be easier for you to quickly find your Camera photos/videos whenever you need).
I have searched many sources but none of the Camera Photos shortcuts works perfectly. They can work, but not perfectly. For example, the “the Camera album automaton” shortcut works, but if I took 3 photos in 1 second then it only adds the third photo into the Camera album and ignores the other two previous photos. Finally, I have made my shortcut that solves all the previous drawbacks/problems of other Camera Photo Album shortcuts. It is the only shortcut that worked perfectly to add Camera photos to an album. I have tested it carefully. I took 3 photos in 1 second, then 5 photos in 2 seconds, then 9 photos in 3 seconds. The shortcut added all these photos to the “Camera Photos” album, just as I expected.
HOW TO USE
Run this shortcut. It will sort all camera photos that you have taken in the last 2 days into an album called “Camera Photos”.
Set automation so that new camera photos in the future will be automatically added to the album "Camera Videos” every time you close the camera app. I have made a video to guide you on how to do that, it is easy and basic:

**The shortcut only adds the photos taken in the last 2 days along with all photos you will take in the future to the album “Camera Photos”. If you want to add all camera photos from the past into the album “Camera photos”, use the search function of the Photos app to find all camera photos to add them to the album “Camera Photos”.
If you don’t know how to use the search function to search for your camera photos, I have written a step-by-step instruction in full detail to guide you:
Open the Photo apps, choose the search function (by clicking on the search icon in the bottom right corner of the screen)
Search for your iPhone model by typing “Apple…” (for example “Apple iPhone XS Max”). In fact, you don’t even need to type the full name of your device because your iPhone model name will appear for you to choose in the search suggestion list (for example, when I type “Apple”, I can quickly choose my phone model named “Apple iPhone XS Max” in the search suggest drop-down list)
Then the search result will appear, choose “See all” to view all the photos and videos taken by your iPhone’s camera.
After that, click on the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the screen. Then choose “Filter”. In the Filter menu, choose “Photos”, then click “Done”.
Click “select” on the top right corner (next to the three-dot icon). After that, from the first photo, slide your finger from left to right, from top to bottom, to select all camera photos (too bad the search function of the Photos app doesn’t have “select all” feature so we have to do it manually like this).
After selecting all the photos, click on the three-dot icon in the bottom right corner, choose “Add to album”. Add these photos to the album “Camera Photos” created by my shortcut (you must run my shortcut first if you have never run it before).
—> From now on, after you set up the automation to run my shortcut in the background whenever you close the Camera app, any new photo taken by your camera will be added to the album “Camera Photos”.
*NOTE: The guide for searching your camera photos above is long and has many steps, right? That is why my shortcut is created so that you don’t have to do these many steps again and again whenever you want to search for your specific camera photos. I hope my shortcut is useful for you :)
