# Describe with GPT | Shortcuts Library

> Make "GPT-4o mini" explain what's in your image

## What this shortcut does

This shortcut allows you to obtain a description of an image using the OpenAI’s “GPT-4o mini” multimodal model. The description, in addition to being displayed, is automatically copied to the clipboard.
My most common use for this is to get a first draft for the
alt text
of images in social networks 🙂 It makes taking care of accessibility much easier.
Also, in case of API error, the error message will be saved/shown instead of the answer. This is quite useful in case of trouble, and I have seen more than one shortcut that does not take API errors into account.
NOTE:
The shortcut expect to find the API key in a note named "OpenAI API Key". If such a note is not found, it will offer to create it.
If you want to have a conversation with the same model check out my
Chat with GPT
shortcut.
