# Calculate Tax Anywhere | Shortcuts Library

> Allows you to calculate sales tax for any US Zip Code

## What this shortcut does

This shortcut was born out of an experiment. I wanted to see if I could get a shortcut to calculate actual sales tax for any Zip Code. I was able to get this to work thanks to an API from Avalara.
Only works in the United States
Upon setting up, you’ll be prompted to create an AvaTax account on Avalara’s website
